Shoreline and Dam Rehabilitation is designated as its own category because it truly is a job entirely separate from normal land clean-up. Far too often, the edges of ponds, and the front and backside of dams, become overgrown. At first, it starts with a couple of missed mowings. Then the following year, there are 3 inch trees. Then before it can be realized, the pond is completely overgrown. It can't be mowed; let alone trying to cast a line from the edge. Not only does this overgrowth diminish a pond's aesthetic and recreational value, heavy growth on the dam (particularly on the backside) can compromise its stability, as well.
